Concert in Trivandrum

On January 5, 2024, the Indian-European rock band Ashram presented their new album Siddhartha live in Trivandrum – their first concert in over 12 years. With the support of the Goethe Centre Trivandrum and Dr. Ibrahim Syed, the event was a great success. New musicians like Arunitha Mohan (Veena) and Jagdish Barot (Sarangi) added to the evening's magic. The concert received widespread media coverage in prominent newspapers such as The Times of India and The Hindu. Ashram continues to work on releasing the full album and plans for an upcoming concert in Austria.

THE RIVER (NEW SINGLE)

Ashram's new song, The River, symbolizes the Buddhist and Hindu teachings of purity, meditation, and the cycle of life. Drawing inspiration from the flow of water, the song reflects the path to nirvana and the spiritual cleansing power central to religious rituals, like bathing in the sacred Ganges. The River captures the essence of reincarnation and new beginnings.

New Single - Awakening

Ashram’s next song, Awakening, inspired by Siddhartha’s journey to enlightenment, features the enchanting Indian instrument Sarangi for the first time. Played by Jagdish Barot and complemented by the stunning vocals of Surbhi Samdani, the song beautifully captures the essence of self-discovery and the symphony of life.
